One-Day Baseball Clinic

This exciting one-day baseball clinic will help enhance the fundamentals of baseball and allow any skill level player to hone their baseball abilities! This clinic is for ages 8 – 12 (as of 8/31/25).

Kid-Pitch Baseball

Kid-Pitch Baseball is for kids, ages 9 - 12 (as of 8/31/25), who are aging out of Coach-Pitch. Skill level ranges from beginner to experienced. No matter the level, baseball fundamentals will be a primary focus. Practices and games will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.  To download a Registration Form, click here.

Pinecrest All Star Baseball Camp

This camp is run by Jeff Hewitt, Head Baseball Coach of Pinecrest High School. Camp is for ages 5 - 12 (as of 6/17/25).  Instruction will focus on basic skills and techniques of baseball. Camp is co-sponsored with Southern Pines and Pinehurst Parks and Recreation Departments. All participants will receive a camp t-shirt.  To download a Registration Form, click here.

All-Star Sports Camp

At this All-Star Sports Camp, kids will learn the basics of different sports. Each day will be dedicated to teaching one specific sport. Camp is for ages 5 – 12 (as of 8/31/25). Jr. NBA Skills Challenge

This free event for boys and girls, ages 7 - 14 (as of 11/15/25), will provide participants the chance to improve upon and showcase their fundamental basketball skills. This challenge will test the participants in five skills: shooting, lay-ups, dribbling, passing, and defense. Age groups are 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U.

Coach Pitch Baseball

This athletic league is for youth aging out of T-ball (ages 6 - 8 as of 8/31/25) or for those that have never played baseball before. Practices and games will be on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.  To download a Registration Form, click here.

Youth Flag Football

Flag Football is an exciting league that continues to grow each year. This is a co-ed sport that has three age divisions: 6 - 8, 9 - 12, and 13 - 15. Games and practices will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings. The 6 - 8 age division will be at the Aberdeen Sportsplex. The 9 - 12 and 13 - 15 age divisions will practice at the Aberdeen Sportsplex but games will be played in Aberdeen, Southern Pines, and Pinehurst.  To download a Registration Form, click here.

T-Ball

This league introduces your little one (ages 4 -5 as of 8/31/25) to the game of baseball and focuses on the very basic fundamentals. Practices and games will be on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, as well as Saturday mornings.  To download a Registration Form, click here.

Girls Youth Volleyball

Girls will learn the rules and develop important skills for the game of volleyball! Age divisions will consist of 7 - 10 and 11 - 14. Practices and games will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for the 11-14 age division while the 7-10 age division will be on Monday and Wednesday evenings.  To download a Registration Form, click here.

Town of Aberdeen Parks & Recreation Department's Fee Policy 

The Parks and Recreation Department is an agency of the Town of Aberdeen and receives municipal tax revenue paid by residents living inside the corporate limits of the Town.  Others who live outside the corporate limits are charged a higher rate for participation in our programs because they do not pay Town taxes.

 

The policy for application of this fee differential is as follows:

You must live inside the corporate limits of Aberdeen at the time of your registration in order to be charged the Town of Aberdeen resident rate.  All others will be charged the non-resident rate.

Refunds of fees paid for most activities will be made under certain conditions.  For allowed refunds, there may be a refund fee of up to $5.00.  Refunds are not available after the activity registration deadline except for substantial hardships.  Complete refund policy is available upon request from the Parks and Recreation Department.
