Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school graduate from an accredited high school or have a GED
  • At least 21 years old
  • Honorable discharge, if a veteran
  • Must be a citizen of the United States at the time of application
  • Must possess a valid NC Driver's License
  • Must be of good moral character, have no felony convictions and committed no incidents of domestic violence.
  • Successful Completion of The NC Basic Law Enforcement Training Program
  • Pass a Pre-Employment background investigation
  • Pass a Pre-Employment Oral Review
  • Pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screen
  • Pass a Pre-Employment Psychological Evaluation
  • Pass a Pre-Employment Physical Fitness Test (POPAT)
  • Pass a Pre-Employment physical screening
