This backflow prevention program is required by all commercial, business, and residential customers that have swimming pools and/or underground lawn sprinkler systems.  If you currently have an RPZ, then you are required to have it tested once a year by a certified tester.  To view a list of certified testers, click here. 

The objective of the backflow prevention ordinance for the Town of Aberdeen is to protect the potable water supply of the Town of Aberdeen.  This will be accomplished by requiring the use of appropriate backflow protection methods.  The possibility of contamination will be minimized by confining within the customer's private water system those contaminants or pollutants which could, under adverse conditions, backflow through uncontrolled cross-connections into the public water system.
