INVITATION TO BID

Town of Aberdeen is soliciting proposals from qualified Contractors for the project entitled Lake Park Trail Improvements.

Sealed bids for this project will be received by Town of Aberdeen until 2:00 pm local time on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 in the Lake Park Recreation Center, 301 Lake Park Crossing, Aberdeen, North Carolina 28681). This will not be a public bid opening.

THE PROJECT GENERALLY CONSISTS OF construction of trail footpath, including drainage, clearing, boardwalk repairs and miscellaneous appurtenances as outlined in the Bid Proposal at the locations indicated on the enclosed vicinity map.

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017, 11:00am local time at the project site (meeting will begin at the Lake Park Recreation Center). Interested parties are invited to attend this meeting. Contract Document will be distributed to interested bidders to review the plans, ask for additional information or clarifications, and visit the project site. Although attendance is not mandatory, it is highly recommended; as important information about the project will be discussed at this time.

A conditional or qualified BID will not be accepted. Bids shall be submitted on the form contained in the Bid Documents.

All applicable laws, ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the PROJECT shall apply to the contract throughout.

Each BIDDER is responsible for inspecting the site and for reading and being thoroughly familiar with the BID DOCUMENTS. The failure or omission of any BIDDER to do any of the foregoing shall in no way relieve any BIDDER from any obligation in respect to his BID.
