The Aberdeen Fire Department and other local fire departments will be conducting a live fire training exercise on Monday, January 16th and Tuesday, January 17th. The hours of the training will be 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Monday and 4 p.m. - 11 p.m. on Tuesday. The exercise will take place at 504 Johnson Street.
The training will involve the burning of the residential structure on Johnson Street. There will be heavy smoke in the area from time to time. It is our plan not to create any problems to traffic flow, however if possible please try to avoid the area. This type of training exercise allows the firefighters to be better prepared and trained for future emergencies.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and will give our best effort to keep things as close to normal as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the Fire Department at 944-7888.
