Downtown is the center of our community and its health and vitality are of critical importance to us all. With the assistance of the NC Main Street Center, we will be conducting a market place snapshot presentation and a vision forum for downtown Aberdeen and are encouraging your participation!
Purpose of the forum/workshop is to determine: • What is good about downtown
• What needs improvement
• What downtown should become in the near future
Participants will work together in small groups to assess downtown’s strengths and weaknesses and write vision statements, based on Aberdeen’s economic drivers, describing what they want downtown to be.
Everyone will then determine the best themes and ideas to forge a single vision statement for downtown Aberdeen, which will help drive the ongoing downtown development efforts.
This process allows us to involve many people representing many interests in our community. Your input is critical as we begin to develop our long range plans for our downtown area.
The event will take place on September 13, 2016 from 5:00-8:00pm at Bethesda Presbyterian Church (1002 N Sandhills Blvd., Aberdeen). Please RSVP by filling out this form or simply contact Daniel Martin at 910.944.4506 to let him know you’re coming!
