Aberdeen is very excited to host the Reindeer Fun Run for the third year and hope all our citizens will be on hand to support the participants and join the fun downtown after the race. This year’s event will be Saturday, December 7, 2013 and will include a 5K Run/Walk and 12K Run (for more serious competitors), the ever popular Egg Nog Jog for kids 9 and under, a costume competition for race participants, and an After Party held in Downtown Aberdeen with lots of fun events for kids and adults (Kids’ Zone open from 9:30 a.m. to Noon).
A large crowd of participants and spectators are anticipated during the morning hours and some streets that are included in the routes will be closed for the duration of the race. While some streets will have one lane open during the race, leaving and entering driveways may not be possible while runners are on the Route. Planning your morning with this information in mind will help to avoid conflicts and inconveniences. It is expected that all roads will be re-opened no later than 12:00 noon.
