The Aberdeen Carolina and Western Railroad will be working with the Town of Aberdeen to replace one crossing on South Street and increase the height of two other crossings on South Street.
This work is scheduled to begin on January 9, 2012 and will be completed as quickly as possible.
This project will also affect Sycamore Street, so it would be advisable to avoid this intersection altogether.
Parts of each street will be closed for this two week period. Once the railroad has completed the work, the Town will be patching all needed areas and weather permitting will repave South Street from Poplar to N.C. Hwy. 211.
If you have any questions or concerns, please call Public Works Director Rickie Monroe at 910-944-7012.
