NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
IN THE TOWN OF ABERDEEN
MOORE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Aberdeen has called for the following Public Hearing at 6:00 PM on June 28, 2021 at the John Curtis McInnis Board Room in the Robert N. Page Municipal Building located at 115 N. Poplar Street. The purpose of the public hearing is as follows:

1. To consider a Conditional Zoning (CZ-21-01) request to rezone one parcel (PID 00046659) addressed as 300 E Main Street, from its existing Residential single family (R-10) zoning to a Conditional Zoning- Central Business (CZ CB) zoning to only allow certain “Retail Sales-Minor,” “Assembly-Minor”, “Restaurant-Minor”, “Office-Minor”, “Single Family Detached Dwelling” use types for the subject parcel.

All abutting property owners are hereby notified to appear at this public hearing to present any objections that they have with respect to the conditional zoning request to add retail uses to the existing Light Industrial uses that are permitted by right. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Aberdeen has called for the following Public Hearings at 6:00 PM on June 28th, 2021 at the John Curtis McInnis Board Room in the Robert N. Page Municipal Building located at 115 N. Poplar Street. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to consider the following:

1. Text Amendment (21-01) Update 3: A request submitted by the Town of Aberdeen to amend all chapters of the Unified Development Ordinance. The amendments are to include updated language as required by Chapter 160D of the North Carolina General Statutes, as well as Staff recommended minor amendments to various chapters for clarity and efficiency.

The Town of Aberdeen is a Fair Housing Community. The Fair Housing Officer shall offer assistance to the North Carolina Relation Council’s fair housing staff in the investigation and reconciliation of all housing discrimination complaints. The Fair Housing Officer is Paul Sabiston who may be reached at the Robert N. Page Municipal Building at 115 N. Poplar Street or 910-944-1115.
