PROJECT LOCATION:
The project is located at 804 N. Sandhills Boulevard, Aberdeen, NC 28315

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The work includes General, Site, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical work to be constructed under one Single Prime Contract. The extent of work is shown on the drawings and specified in the project manual.

BIDS DUE:
Sealed bids will be received for the construction of the Aberdeen Police Department Renovation and Addition in the Conference Room at the Aberdeen Fire Department; 800 Holly Street, Aberdeen, NC 28315 until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE:
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 in the Conference Room at the Aberdeen Fire Department; 800 Holly Street, Aberdeen, NC 28315

DRAWING & SPECIFICATION AVAILABILITY:
Bidding Documents are available beginning Monday, December 30, 2019 in electronic or printed form from Duncan Parnell via their web page  http://www.dpibidroom.com. Registration with Duncan Parnell is required to obtain the bid documents. A NON-REFUNDABLE FEE of $388.00 (plus tax) for a printed set; $413.00 (plus tax) for a printed set with a CD; $291.00 (plus tax) for a download is required. Neither OWNER nor ARCHITECT will be responsible for copies of the Bidding Documents obtained from sources other than from Duncan Parnell. BID BOND:
Each bid must be accompanied by either cash or a cashier’s check or a certified check drawn on a bank of trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation made payable to The Town of Aberdeen in an amount of five percent (5%) of the gross amount of the base bid + all alternates or by a bond in the above amount executed in accordance with and conditioned as prescribed by G.S. 143-129, State of North Carolina. If the successful bidder fails to give satisfactory surety as required by law, the above deposit will be retained by the Owner. All contractors are hereby notified that they shall be properly licensed under the state laws governing their trades.

PERFORMANCE & PAYMENT BOND:
The successful General Contractor will be asked to provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond for
100% of Contract Amount after selection.

The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
