During the Town Board Meeting on Monday, November 17th, Town Manager Bill Zell recognized Fire Lieutenant Alan Holmes as the 2014 Employee of the Year. Alan has worked for the Town of Aberdeen since 2007, and is well respected by his co-workers.

Alan received 5 nominations from his fellow employees including the following comments:

• Alan is always a very dependable, dedicated employee. He goes above and beyond in everything he does. Alan is one of the hardest workers in the Fire Department. Alan has saved the department countless amounts of money by doing repair work on the vehicles. 
• Alan maintains all the vehicles in the Fire Dept. and repairs them in house saving the Town thousands of dollars each year. Alan has been nominated several years, but not selected, and this year he is even more deserving of the award. Alan also helps other departments with maintenance on their vehicles. 
• Alan has worked very hard over the last year with fleet maintenance by making sure the trucks are safe and ready to respond to any calls for service. 
• Alan does a great job and helps the Town tremendously. 
• Alan is the man!
  

Alan was presented a framed certificate by Town Manager Zell, along with $300 and 2 vacation days off. A big thank you to our 2014 Citizen's Academy Program for assisting in the process of selecting the 2014 Employee of the Year.
