NOTICE TO PUBLIC

The Town of Aberdeen Mayor and Board of Commissioners have scheduled a Special Called Meeting on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 4:30 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is for the following:

• Public Hearing for CDBG No. 10-C-2207 for Midway Gardens regarding submission of a budget amendment to the North Carolina Department of Commerce, Division of Community Assistance. The amendment is being submitted to accurately reflect changes in project activities and expenditures since the application was submitted. The Midway Gardens project received $250,000.00 in Grant funds to be used for water, sewer and street improvements. This is a joint project with Habitat for Humanity, who received separate grant funds for the project. All activities serve low and/or moderate income persons.

Interested parties may present their views orally or in writing at the public hearing or prior to the public hearing by communicating with Bill Zell, Town Manager at 944-4505. Written citizen comments will be responded to in writing within ten (10) calendar days of receipt of comments by the applicant.

• Public Hearing to consider a Conditional Rezoning Application Request for Oak Tree Village, located at the northwestern corner of the intersection of Glasgow and South Streets (PIN# 187018321225) for the purpose rezoning the property from R10-10 to R10-10-C and adding one duplex to the apartment complex.

The meeting will be held at the Robert N. Page Municipal Building located at 115 N. Poplar Street, Aberdeen, NC. All citizens of the Town of Aberdeen and interested persons are invited to attend these hearings.
