NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS & EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY
IN THE TOWN OF ABERDEEN
MOORE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Aberdeen has called for the following Public Hearings at 6:00 PM on June 25, 2018 at the John Curtis McInnis Board Room in the Robert N. Page Municipal Building located at 115 N. Poplar Street. The purpose of the Public Hearings is to consider the following:

  1. Annexation petition submitted by Columbus Aberdeen, LLC for four parcels plus a portion of a fifth parcel located west of South Hill Rd., north of Johnson St. and at the terminus of Columbus Dr. The parcel is identified in the Moore County Tax Registry as PID 20080299, 20071176, 00048506, 00046061, and a portion of 20150450.
  2. Text Amendment UDO #18-12 Regarding the Regulation of Food Trucks; 
  3. Text Amendment UDO #18-13 Regarding Board of Adjustment Alternate Members; 
  4. Conditional Use Permit #18-05 submitted by Morgan Tool & Die, LLC for property located at 3140 NC Hwy 5, Suite B-1. The conditional use request is for manufacturing in the C-I District.
  5. Continued Public Hearing - Conditional Use Permit #18-03 submitted by Columbus Aberdeen, LLC for a hotel use on four parcels totaling 4.85 acres located near the intersection of Johnson Street and South Hill Road.
  6. Continued Public Hearing - Conditional Use Permit #18-04 submitted by Southern Pines Gaines for a retail sales use with high volume traffic on 62.6 acres located at 3140 NC Highway 5.

NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Commissioners will consider an exchange of real property at the Regular Board Meeting scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on June 25, 2018. Aberdeen Rockfish and Railroad wishes to exchange its’ property identified as Parcel ID No. (“PID”) 45994 and Parcel Identification No. (“PIN”) 857014330503 (the Railroad Property, which is tax valued at $4,920) for the Town’s property identified as PID 46009 and PIN 848901270478 (the “Town Property”, which is tax valued at $8,970).

The Town of Aberdeen is a Fair Housing Community. The Fair Housing Officer shall offer assistance to the North Carolina Relation Council’s fair housing staff in the investigation and reconciliation of all housing discrimination complaints.
