Elected
by the residents of Aberdeen, the Mayor and the five
members of the Board of Commissioners identify community
needs and commit Town resources to meet those needs
within the limits of federal and state law.
Specific duties include adopting the annual budget,
establishing the annual tax rate, enacting local
ordinances and Town policies, formulating policies for
the conduct of Town operations, making appointments to
advisory boards and committees, and overseeing long
range plans for the community in areas including land
use and Town facilities such as streets and parks.
The Aberdeen Town Board meets for their Regular Board
Meeting on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:00pm.
The Aberdeen Town Board meets for their Work Session the
2nd Thursday before each Regular Board Meeting of each
