Following are a list of services provided by the Town of Aberdeen:

Garbage Pickup:

The Town collects household garbage twice a week (either Monday/Thursday or Tuesday/Friday) depending on your location. Our Sanitation Department will pick up your household waste either in the front or back yard which ever is more convenient for you.  Yard waste is not collected on a regular schedule, but our Street Department works the different areas as needed. Recycling Drop Off:

Recyclable materials can be dropped off at the Public Works recycling area located off Purnell Circle, Aberdeen, NC. Questions or problems about recycling should be directed to the Public Works Department at (910) 944-7012.

Water and Sewer Policies

Water rates are set on a sliding scale, according to volume used. Sewer rates are set at a straight line rate, according to each thousand gallons of water used.

Residential and Business customers are billed bi-monthly.  Bills are mailed on the first day of the month and are past due on the 15th.  A past due notice is mailed on the 16th and includes a $5.00 late charge. If the account is still unpaid by 5:00 pm on the 25th, service is cut off on the next business day and a fee of $25.00 is charged to reconnect.

A $150 deposit and $20 processing fee ($170) is needed for residents renting in Aberdeen in order to receive water service. (910) 944-1115
